Alabama State falls 14-13 to Grambling State Tigers in college baseball

On Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m., Alabama State Hornets, with former Auburn High School standout Caleb Sanders on the roster, dropped a 14-13 NCAA Division I baseball contest to the Grambling State Tigers.

The teams faced off at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park, marking their fourth meeting this season. The Hornets had previously edged out the Tigers 5-4 in Saturday’s game on March 14.

Sanders pitched one inning, giving up two earned runs and issuing one walk.

Alabama State is set to play next on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. against the Troy Trojans at Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex.
