Auburn junior Anna Davis finished tied for 19th place at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, which concluded on April 4 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Davis posted an even-par round of 72 in the final round, bringing her total to two-under-par (214) over three rounds.

The result marks Davis’ second consecutive top-20 finish at this event. Her consistent performance highlights her continued presence among the top amateur golfers.

Davis described her final round as “a little scrappy,” adding, “I had a lot of good up-and-downs for par and just left a few putts out there that I should have made. It was a pretty up-and-down round with a lot of pars.” She recovered from early bogeys with birdies on holes seven, eleven, and thirteen. After saving par from a bunker on the ninth hole and making steady pars to close out her round, she finished even for the day.

Reflecting on playing Amen Corner—holes eleven through thirteen—Davis said, “I feel like I always play 11, 12 and 13 pretty well. I don’t know why, but I like those holes a lot. I made a good putt on No. 11 and kind of needed one. Then 13 was a good one. I hit a good wedge shot in and made a good putt. Two good birdies.” In earlier rounds played at Champions Retreat Golf Club and Augusta National Golf Club, she recorded scores of one-under-par (71) and secured her spot in Saturday’s final by birdieing the last hole Thursday.

This year marked Davis’ third appearance in the final round of this tournament; she previously won it before starting college in 2022 and finished tied for eleventh place last year. Auburn University has now had an active player reach the final round each of the past four years.
