Auburn University has secured two additional players through the transfer portal, bringing the total number of new additions under first-year head coach Alex Golesh to 16 for this cycle. The latest signings are wide receiver Keshaun Singleton from the University of South Florida (USF) and offensive lineman Jo Simmons from James Madison University.
Singleton, who played three seasons at USF under Golesh, appeared in 24 games with 18 starts. He recorded 76 receptions for 1,285 yards and 11 touchdowns during his time at USF. Singleton had four games with over 100 receiving yards and received multiple preseason all-conference honors ahead of the 2025 season.
Simmons spent four years at James Madison, playing in 29 games with 14 starts. In the 2025 season, he started all 13 games at left tackle and helped lead his team to a Sun Belt Championship and a College Football Playoff appearance. Simmons was named honorable mention All-Sun Belt.
Other recent Auburn transfers include players with experience at Arkansas State, West Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan State, Howard University, Miami (Ohio), and USF. Many have previous connections to Coach Golesh either through recruitment or prior teams.
Among them is a quarterback from USF who holds several program records including being the first to surpass 3,000 passing yards in a season. This player led all FBS quarterbacks in total touchdowns and average yards of offense per game in the most recent season.
The incoming group features athletes recognized for their performances within their respective conferences as well as those who have contributed on both offense and defense throughout their college careers.
The transfer activity reflects ongoing efforts by Auburn’s football program to strengthen its roster following changes in coaching leadership.
