Auburn alum Caleb Sanders competes in NCAA Division I baseball on March 7

Caleb Sanders, a former Auburn High School athlete, played for the Alabama State Hornets when they secured a 9-3 NCAA Division I baseball victory over the Longwood Lancers on Saturday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m.

The matchup took place at Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex. This was the teams’ third contest this season. The Hornets prevailed 11-6 in their prior game on Saturday, March 7.

Sanders contributed two innings on the mound, tallying three strikeouts and issuing one walk.

The Hornets will play next on Friday, March 13, at 6 p.m. at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park, facing Grambling State Tigers.
