Auburn University announced on March 19 the launch of Plainsman Plaza, a new pre-game block party set to debut before Saturday’s baseball game between No. 4 Auburn and No. 2 Texas at Plainsman Park.

The introduction of Plainsman Plaza aims to enhance the game day experience for fans by offering entertainment and activities prior to select Southeastern Conference (SEC) home games this season.

Plainsman Plaza will be located along Donahue Drive and will open three hours before first pitch, featuring appearances from Auburn cheerleaders, food trucks, live music, games and inflatables for children, videoboards showing live games from across the country, and other attractions. The plaza is scheduled to open at 3 p.m. Central Time, with the main seating area opening at 4:30 p.m. and first pitch set for 6 p.m.

In preparation for the event, Donahue Drive from Heisman Drive to Samford Avenue will be closed starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Fans are advised to access Plainsman Plaza through entry gates near the intersection of Heisman and Donahue Drives. Entry into Plainsman Plaza requires a valid game ticket; once inside, fans do not need to scan again for entry into the seating bowl but cannot leave and re-enter after scanning in.

Additional features include a Tiger Walk by the team down Donahue Drive following batting practice at approximately 4:25 p.m., as well as food trucks such as Let’s Shake on It, Philly Connection, Purely Bowls, Turn & Burn, and Kona Ice serving fans until the seventh inning. The plaza also offers photo opportunities in Auburn baseball gear, a YETI prize pack raffle, concessions, restrooms, and access to the team shop inside the homeplate concourse.

With road closures in place for the event, fans are encouraged to use alternate routes for parking including Samford Drive to Biggio Drive for Coliseum parking; Wire Road to Heisman Drive or Donahue Drive north of Heisman Drive for Neville Arena; and Samford Avenue to Duncan Drive for Stadium Deck parking.

The university said these changes are designed to create an engaging atmosphere around Auburn baseball while ensuring smooth logistics on game days.
