Auburn’s Griffin Stewart and Auburn Montgomery fall to Mississippi Choctaws 9-3 in Division II baseball

Former Auburn High School star Griffin Stewart pitched for Auburn Montgomery as the Warhawks suffered a 9-3 loss to the Mississippi Choctaws in their NCAA Division II baseball matchup Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m.

The matchup at AUM Baseball Complex marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In the previous contest on Friday, March 6, Auburn Montgomery fell to the Choctaws 6-4.

Stewart surrendered two earned runs in 1.1 innings pitched, issuing four walks and notching one strikeout.

Auburn Montgomery is set to play the Mississippi Choctaws again at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the AUM Baseball Complex.
