The Auburn gymnastics team remains ranked 11th nationally after the fourth week of competition, according to RoadToNationals.com. The ranking follows a team score of 196.700 against Florida last Friday, bringing Auburn’s average to 196.642, which places them eighth in the Southeastern Conference.
Oklahoma currently leads the national rankings with an average score of 197.783. LSU is second at 197.467, while Florida and Alabama are tied for third with averages of 197.417 each. Arkansas rounds out the top five for the fourth consecutive week.
Other SEC teams in the top 15 include Missouri at No. 7 and Georgia at No. 8.
Auburn’s floor exercise squad holds a national ranking of seventh with an average score of 49.333. The beam team moved up to No. 11 (49.125), and vault is ranked eighth (49.225).
On an individual level, sophomore Marissa Neal advanced to No. 17 in the all-around category with an average score of 39.313, while junior Julianne Huff stands at No. 25 (39.263). Junior Paige Zancan is ninth nationally on vault with a score of 9.9, and both Huff and Sophia Bell are tied for No. 27 on floor exercise with averages of 9.892.
Auburn will face Georgia, currently ranked eighth nationally, in Athens this Sunday, February 1st at 5:00 p.m Central Time; the meet will be broadcast on SEC Network.
