The Auburn gymnastics team is ranked No. 16 in the nation with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.547, according to RoadToNationals.com as of March 16.
This ranking places Auburn among the top collegiate gymnastics programs as teams prepare for the upcoming Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship. Oklahoma leads the national rankings with an NQS of 197.963, followed by LSU at No. 2 with a 197.917 NQS and Florida at No. 3 with a score of 197.700. Alabama and UCLA round out the top five, holding fourth and fifth place respectively.
Within the SEC, several teams join Auburn in the top 25: Georgia is ranked sixth, Arkansas eighth, Missouri ninth, and Kentucky nineteenth. Auburn’s vault team holds the twelfth spot nationally with a 49.183 NQS, while its beam team is thirteenth at 49.197 and its floor squad stands twenty-first with a score of 49.222.
Individually, junior Julianne Huff is ranked eighteenth in the all-around category with an NQS of 39.395, while Paige Zancan is tied for nineteenth on vault with a score of 9.900.
Auburn enters the SEC Championship as the No. 8 seed for this year’s event scheduled for March 21 at Tulsa’s BOK Center in Oklahoma. The Tigers will compete in the afternoon session alongside Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kentucky at 2 p.m., while Oklahoma, LSU, Florida, and Alabama are set to compete later that evening.
