Auburn gymnastics rises to No. 15 in national rankings after strong performances

The Auburn gymnastics team moved up to No. 15 in the national rankings with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.603, according to a March 11 update from the program.

This change comes after Auburn posted a score of 196.975 at home against Michigan State on March 6 and achieved its highest road score of the season, a 197.200, at Elevate the Stage on March 8.

Oklahoma continues to lead the national rankings with an NQS of 197.967, followed by LSU at No. 2 (197.897) and Florida at No. 3 (197.593). Alabama (197.508) and UCLA (197.431) round out the top five teams nationally.

Within the Southeastern Conference, several teams join Auburn in the top 25: Georgia is ranked sixth, Missouri seventh, Arkansas eighth, and Kentucky twenty-second.

Auburn’s vault team is currently ranked eleventh nationally with an NQS of 49.206, while its beam squad has moved up to twelfth (49.231). The floor exercise group entered the top twenty for the first time this season, now ranking nineteenth with a score of 49.242.

Individually, junior Julianne Huff stands thirteenth in all-around competition after earning back-to-back scores above 39.5 last weekend; she holds an NQS of 39.395 following performances of 39.525 on March 6 and 39.500 on March 8. Junior Paige Zancan is eighteenth nationally on vault with a score of 9.895 NQS, while sophomore Marissa Neal is tied for twenty-fourth on beam (9.895) and tied for twenty-fifth on vault (9.880).

Auburn will close out its regular season by hosting No.7 Missouri on Friday, March 13 at Neville Arena; competition begins at 7 p.m., broadcast live on SEC Network+.
