Auburn University’s men’s basketball team will participate as the 12th seed in the 2026 SEC Basketball Tournament. The team is set to face No. 13 seed Mississippi State on Wednesday afternoon in Nashville. The game is scheduled for approximately 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network, following the Kentucky vs. LSU matchup at 11:30 a.m.
The winner between Auburn and Mississippi State will move on to play fifth-seeded Tennessee on Thursday. If successful, that team would then advance to the quarterfinals against No. 4 Vanderbilt.
Auburn concluded its regular season with a record of 16 wins and 15 losses overall, including a conference record of 7-11. Mississippi State finished its season at 13-18 overall and went 5-13 in SEC play. In their previous meeting this season, Mississippi State defeated Auburn with a score of 91-85 in Starkville.
