Auburn University’s swim and dive teams will host the Auburn Invite on February 6-7 at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center. This event serves as a final preparation for the upcoming SEC Championships later in February.
The competition is set to begin at 10 a.m. CT each day, with live coverage available through SEC Network Plus and real-time results accessible via Meet Mobile.
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka’s squad returns home after a challenging meet in Tuscaloosa, where they secured 13 victories across various events.
On the women’s team, Maggie McGuire achieved a personal-best time of 1:45.55 in the 200 freestyle. Zoey Zeller won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:10.60, while Maria Faoro claimed victory in diving with a score of 315.90.
For the men’s team, freshman Daniel Krichevsky earned three first-place finishes: he posted times of 42.57 in the 100 freestyle, 1:33.29 in the 200 freestyle, and contributed a split of 42.36 in the 400 freestyle relay.
Uros Zivanovic continued his performance streak by winning the 100 breaststroke with a time of 53.26 seconds. Abdalla Nasr took first place in the 200 butterfly at 1:43.31, and Danny Schmidt finished atop the podium in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:46.44.
In diving events led by coach John Fox, Ethan Swart won the one-meter board with a score of 366.15, while Ben Wilson captured first place on the three-meter board with a score of 383.63.
Freshman Maston Ballew recorded second-place finishes in both the 200 breaststroke (1:55.71) and the 200 individual medley (1:46.47).
Elizaveta Klevanovich also performed well for Auburn’s women’s team, finishing second in the 100 freestyle (48.80) and third in the 50 freestyle (22.16).
After this weekend’s meet, Auburn will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee for the SEC Championships from February 13-21 before returning home for another event at month’s end.
