Auburn University’s men’s golf team is positioned to compete for the championship in the final round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas. The Tigers, ranked No. 2 nationally, are two strokes behind top-ranked Virginia after completing Monday’s second round at 13-under-par.

The team improved its overall score by one shot from Sunday, finishing the day at 7-under-par. Freshman Logan Reilly was a key contributor, shooting a bogey-free 67 for a five-under-par round. This marked a significant turnaround for Reilly, who improved by nine shots compared to his first-round performance.

Jake Albert and Cayden Pope also posted under-par rounds on Monday with scores of 71 (-1) and 70 (-2), respectively. Albert currently leads Auburn’s lineup at four-under-par and is three shots off the individual lead as they head into Tuesday’s final round.

Jackson Koivun and Josiah Gilbert are both tied for ninth place individually at three-under-par going into the tournament’s conclusion.
