Auburn University’s women’s basketball team will conclude its 2025-26 regular season on Sunday afternoon against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at Bud Walton Arena.
The Tigers, holding a record of 14-15 overall and 3-12 in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play, are aiming to finish with an even record for the regular season. A win would also mark Auburn’s first victory in Fayetteville since 2019 and their second SEC road win this year. Arkansas enters the matchup at 11-19 overall and has yet to secure a conference win this season.
If Auburn wins and Missouri loses to Oklahoma, the Tigers will secure the No. 14 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament. Otherwise, they could drop to the No. 15 seed depending on Sunday’s results.
Radio coverage of the game will begin at 12:45 p.m. CT with Brit Bowen on ESPN 106.7 FM, and fans can also listen via AuburnTigers.com or the Auburn Athletics app. Television coverage is available on SEC Network with Dorian Craft and Charli Turner-Thorne providing commentary.
In their previous outing, Auburn fell to No. 16 Kentucky by a score of 63-56 during Senior Night at Neville Arena. Khady Leye matched her career high with 20 points while Harissoum Coulibaly contributed 13 points for Auburn. Kaitlyn Duhon recorded five steals as part of a defensive effort that forced Kentucky into committing 17 turnovers.
Before tipoff against Kentucky, Auburn recognized seniors Angena Belloso, Kaitlyn Duhon, Ja’Mia Harris, A’riel Jackson, and Mya Petticord during a pregame ceremony.
The series between Auburn and Arkansas dates back to 1984, with Auburn leading narrowly at 24-23 overall but trailing in games played in Fayetteville by one game (10-11). Recent matchups have been closely contested; each of the last five regular-season meetings was decided by five points or fewer.
In their most recent meeting on January 9 in Auburn, Arkansas edged out a narrow victory over the Tigers thanks to SEC leading scorer Izzy Higginbottom’s late free throw with just over two seconds remaining.
Arkansas averages just over seventy points per game but allows nearly seventy-seven per contest while ranking among the top forty teams nationally in rebounding with an average of more than forty boards per game. Taleyah Jones leads Arkansas scorers with an average of nearly seventeen points per game.
For Auburn, freshman Harissoum Coulibaly leads her team offensively with an average of just over ten points per contest and has earned recognition as SEC Freshman of the Week earlier this season after strong performances against Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and Alcorn State University.
Redshirt junior Kaitlyn Duhon averages almost ten points per game while ranking second in both steals per game within the conference (3.2) and eleventh nationally through February twenty-sixth; she now holds second place for single-season steals at Auburn with ninety-four this year.
Sophomore Khady Leye contributes consistently across scoring and rebounding categories for the Tigers while other players such as Ja’Mia Harris, Mya Petticord, A’riel Jackson, Syriah Daniels, Sania Richardson, Arek Angui, Angena Belloso, and Clara Koulibaly have all provided notable performances throughout various games this season.
Following Sunday’s matchup against Arkansas—the final regular-season contest—Auburn will participate in the opening round of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament held March fourth in Greenville, South Carolina; their opponent and exact seeding will be determined after completion of weekend games.
