The Auburn women’s golf team finished the first two rounds of the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational on Mar. 23 at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, placing tenth with a score of 27-over-par 587 after 36 holes.
The event is important for Auburn as it features strong competition and gives the team an opportunity to improve its standing in national rankings. Head coach Melissa Luellen said, “It was a long day on a very challenging and prestigious golf course, and we didn’t have our best performance. That said, we’re learning from today and staying locked in as a team. We have 18 holes left tomorrow and a great opportunity to move up. We’re excited to get back out there and fight.”

Junior Anna Davis posted scores of four-over-par 74 followed by three-over-par 73. Carys Worby improved her play by following up an opening-round six-over-par 76 with a one-over-par 71.
