Auburn University reported on March 19 that its women’s swimming and diving team scored six points during the second day of the 2026 Women’s NCAA Championships at McAuley Aquatic Center. The Tigers are currently in 32nd place with two days remaining in the competition.
The team’s points came from a strong performance in the 200 freestyle relay, where Elizaveta Klevanovich, Lora Komroczy, Izzy Iwasyk, and Bella Ekk finished with a time of 1:27.96. Their result earned them All-American Honorable Mention honors and marked Auburn’s first points at this year’s championships.
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka has emphasized relays as a key part of Auburn’s strategy. “Relays have always been a focal point under Wochomurka and Auburn’s excellence shone in the 200 free,” according to the university’s announcement.
Earlier in the day, junior Zoey Zeller competed in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:00.40 for 39th place overall.
Looking ahead, Auburn faces a busy schedule on Friday with events including the 100 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and the 400 medley relay. Juliette Landi is also set to compete in the three-meter diving event.
The team highlighted four athletes—Bella Ekk, Izzy Iwasyk, Elizaveta Klevanovich, and Lora Komoroczy—for earning All-American Honorable Mention honors for their relay performance.
