The Shell at 600 Shug Jordan Parkway in Auburn is selling the cheapest diesel gasoline near zip code 36865 this week, according to GasBuddy.com.

The station, which is 4.20 miles from zip code 36865, has diesel priced at $2.09 per gallon for the week of August 10-16.

In greater Alabama, the average price is $1.86 and the lowest price is $1.51. Trends show the price as stable.

The average price of unleaded gas in the state is $1.914 per gallon. The previous week, the state average was $1.935 per gallon. The average has decreased since last month, when it was $1.939 per gallon – a 2.5 cent difference.

Last year, the average price for a gallon of gas was $2.492.
