Junior Brooke Jolstad from Auburn University’s equestrian team has been named the SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month for January, according to an announcement from the league office. This is Jolstad’s second time receiving this honor in her career and marks the third time this season that an Auburn rider has earned recognition in Horsemanship.
Jolstad, who hails from Lakewood, Colorado, played a key role in helping Auburn maintain its top ranking by contributing to a road victory over UT Martin on January 31. She led the Horsemanship squad with a 3-1-1 record during the event and outscored her opponent by 7.5 points. Jolstad achieved a personal best score of 78 and was named Most Outstanding Performer for her efforts.
Auburn’s equestrian team will compete again on Saturday, February 7, when they face No. 6 South Carolina at One Wood Farm in Blythewood, South Carolina. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Central Time.
