Former Auburn men’s basketball head coach Bruce Pearl has been named to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026, according to an announcement on Apr. 16.
Pearl, who is Auburn basketball’s all-time wins leader with 244 victories, joins a group of 20 inductees that includes well-known sports figures such as Marv Albert, Julian Edelman, Nancy Lieberman and Al Michaels.
During his career, Pearl collected a total of 694 collegiate wins and led Auburn to two Final Fours and five Southeastern Conference championships over his eleven years with the team. He was recognized as the Associated Press National Coach of the Year in 2025. Before his time at Auburn, Pearl won a Division II National Championship at Southern Indiana in 1995. He also posted an 86-38 record during three years at Milwaukee and had a mark of 145-61 over six years coaching Tennessee.
The full list for the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026 includes Marv Albert (Media), Jay Berger (Tennis), Omri Casspi (Basketball), Carolina Duer (Boxing), Julian Edelman (Football), Robert Fein (Weightlifting), Dezso Földes (Fencing), Yuri Foreman (Boxing), Noemie Fox (Canoeing), Lydia Hatuel-Czuckermann (Fencing), Nancy Lieberman (Basketball), Al Michaels (Media), Bruce Pearl (Basketball), Morgan Pressel (Golf), Zipora Rubin-Rosenbaum (Paralympian), Red Sarachek (Basketball), Danny Schayes (Basketball), Diego Schwartzman (Tennis), Doron Shaziri (Shooting) and Andre Tippett (Football).
Pearl’s induction highlights both his individual achievements in college basketball and recognition among other prominent athletes and contributors within the international Jewish sporting community.
