AUBURN, Ala.– The southbound lane of Gay Street between Casey and Samford avenues will be closed beginning Monday, June 5. A contractor will be installing pedestrian protection over the sidewalk adjacent to the Heart of Auburn development. Work is expected to take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through Friday, June 9.
Traffic control measures will be in place to keep traffic flowing using the northbound lane. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
