The Auburn Montgomery Warhawks, featuring former Auburn High School standout Griffin Stewart, were defeated 14-4 by the Lee Flames in an NCAA Division II baseball contest held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The matchup was held at Larry Carpenter Stadium at Olympic Field. It was the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Warhawks also lost their previous contest against the Flames, 16-6, on Friday, Feb. 27.
Stewart pitched two innings, surrendering three earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.
The Warhawks are set to play again at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, also at Larry Carpenter Stadium at Olympic Field, facing the Lee Flames.
