Hallifax and Brothers qualify for NCAA Championships after Zone B performances

Sophomores Emily Hallifax and Chloe Brothers qualified for the 2026 NCAA Championships following strong performances on Platform at the Zone B Championships in Athens, Georgia, according to a Mar. 10 announcement from Auburn Tigers Men’s Swimming & Diving.

The qualification of Hallifax and Brothers brings the total number of Auburn divers heading to NCAAs to four this season. Their achievements highlight the team’s continued success under head diving coach John Fox.

During Tuesday’s competition, Brothers, who was a finalist in the Southeastern Conference event, finished seventh in preliminaries with a score of 258.55. Hallifax placed fifth with a score of 295.00. In finals, Hallifax improved her performance with a score of 327.40—the second-highest in Auburn history—securing her second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships. Brothers earned a total score of 531.40 for sixth place and also qualified for Atlanta next week.

In men’s events, Ethan Swart and Talan Blackmon advanced to finals in the 3-meter competition after strong preliminary rounds. Swart finished with an overall score of 759.00 but missed qualifying by two points, while Blackmon placed 13th with a total of 741.20 points. Ben Wilson finished in 28th place with a score of 319.05.

The Zone B Championships will conclude Wednesday with the men’s platform competition starting at 10:15 a.m., streamed live on SEC Network Plus.
