Senior forward Keyshawn Hall was named to the Third Team All-Southeastern Conference, as voted on by the league’s 16 head coaches, according to a March 9 announcement from Auburn.
Hall ended the regular season as the fourth leading scorer in the SEC with an average of 20.4 points per game and ranked tenth in rebounding at 6.9 per game. He was one of only two players in the conference to finish in the top ten for both categories, joining Dailyn Swain of Texas.
Hall’s performance this season included scoring a total of 591 points, which places him fifteenth on Auburn’s single-season scoring list. He also set a new school record for free throws made in a season with 210 and counting. Hall scored more than a third of his points from the free throw line, contributing to Auburn’s national ranking as second in both free throws made (20.4) and attempted (27.2) per game.
Throughout the season, Hall reached double figures in scoring during 28 out of his 29 games played and scored at least 20 points in 17 games. He achieved a season-high of 32 points in consecutive games against Texas A&M and Arkansas, becoming the first Auburn player to score at least 30 points in back-to-back games in over three decades. This year, he has recorded three games with at least 30 points and has posted seven double-doubles.
Auburn will begin postseason play on Wednesday, March 11, facing Mississippi State in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tipoff on SEC Network.
Other SEC awards announced include Coach of the Year Todd Golden from Florida and Player of the Year Darius Acuff Jr. from Arkansas.
