Senior forward Keyshawn Hall has been named to the Lute Olson Award Early Season Watch List by CollegeInsider.com. The award, now in its 15th year, is given annually to the top player in Division I basketball.
Hall has started his senior season strongly, averaging 20.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He leads the Southeastern Conference (SEC) with five double-doubles and has scored more than 20 points in seven out of ten games this season. Hall is currently the only SEC player ranked in the top five for both scoring and rebounding averages.
He is shooting 47 percent from the field and has demonstrated proficiency at drawing fouls, making 82 out of 92 free throw attempts for an accuracy rate of 89.1 percent. His total number of free throw attempts ranks fourth nationally.
Hall, a native of Cleveland, leads Auburn—currently ranked No. 21 with an 8-3 record—into their next game against No. 6 Purdue (10-1) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday night. The matchup marks Auburn’s fourth contest this season against an AP Top 10 team, with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT on Peacock and NBC Sports Network.
