Auburn University announced on April 30 that sixty-six current and former student-athletes will take part in the university’s 2026 Spring Commencement ceremonies this weekend at Neville Arena.
The commencement will feature representatives from seventeen athletic teams, highlighting the academic and athletic achievements of Auburn’s student-athletes. The ceremonies, which begin Friday and conclude Sunday, recognize those who have balanced sports with their studies during their time at the university.
According to Auburn University, these sixty-six student-athletes have earned a combined total of twenty-six All-America selections in both academic and athletic categories. They have also received thirty-two All-Southeastern Conference honors and made ninety-two appearances on the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll during their tenure.
Participants include athletes from baseball, women’s basketball, equestrian, football, women’s golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, men’s swimming and diving, women’s swimming and diving, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s track & field/cross country, women’s track & field/cross country and volleyball. Among those listed are Trevor Booton (baseball), Kaitlyn Duhon (women’s basketball), Holland Barnett (equestrian), Tyler Brown (football), Katie Cranston (women’s golf), Hannah Hagle (gymnastics), Manu Baptista Filipe (soccer), SJ Geurin (softball), Tate Cutler (men’s swimming & diving), Casey Cullen (women’s swimming & diving), Billy Blaydes (men’s tennis), DJ Bennett (women’s tennis) as well as several others across various sports.
The commencement ceremonies aim to honor not only athletic success but also dedication to academics among Auburn University’s athletes. The event underscores the institution’s commitment to supporting students who excel both in competition and in the classroom.
