AUBURN PUBLIC LIBRARY: Auburn Public Library Board applications available through March 30

Auburn Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

The Auburn City Council is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Auburn Public Library Board. The term will begin on April 15, 2020, and end on April 14, 2023.

The Auburn Public Library Board works with the library director to review and formulate policies to provide the community with the best possible library service. The board also works with the library director in strategic planning for the library’s continued quality and sustainability.

Members serve four-year terms, and no special qualifications are required for appointment. The board meets the third Tuesday of every month at 3 p.m. in the Auburn Public Library Conference Room, 749 E. Thach Ave.

Those interested in serving are invited to apply online using the link at auburnalabama.org/boards. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on March 30. The City Council will make appointments at its April 7 meeting.
