OLLI?s first writer-in-residence, Patricia Foster, will read from a portrait of her 2004 visit to Booker T. Washington High School in Tuskegee, Alabama, to interview teenage girls about female ambition; their stories are interwoven with her own coming-of-age in small-town Alabama and her understanding of how creative expression can lead to a validation of self. Reception will follow.
