Ashiala Jackson (Merrillville, Ind.) found her shooting stroke with a 30-point outing on Monday night as the forward helped lead the Golden Tigers to an 85-40 win over Albany State in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) action inside of Daniel "Chappie" James Arena.

The Golden Tigers jumped out to an early 17-10 lead through the first five minutes of the opening quarter, behind six early points from Brittney Bolin (Trophy Club, Texas) along with five from Jackson.
 
Coming out of the first break, Tuskegee added on with a 14-2 run to close out the quarter, ending the first with a 31-12 after the opening frame.
 
The second quarter was more of the same, as the Golden Rams committed 12 total turnovers in the first half, accounting for 20 points for Tuskegee, who led by as many as 28 points at one point and ended the first half up 51-25.
 
Tuskegee continued to control the momentum in the second half, holding Albany State to just ten points in the third quarter and just five in the final period for just 40 total points. The Golden Rams were held to 25 (14-for-56) percent shooting from the field, 7.1 (1-for-14) percent from three and just 47.8 (11-for-23) percent from the free throw line in the contest. 

Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers finished the game with shooting splits of 46.1 (35-for-76) percent from the floor, 46.7 (7-for-15) from deep and a perfect 100 (8-for-8) percent from the charity stripe.
 
Jackson led the way offensively for the Golden Tigers with a season-high 30 points and 14 rebounds, for her first double-double of the year, while shooting 12-for-18 from the field and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
 
Meanwhile, Bolin also crossed the 20-point threshold with 23, including five threes to go with seven assists, six rebounds and three steals in the win. Willis was the other Golden Tiger in double figures, finishing with 10 points, four assists, three steals and three blocks on the day.
 
The Golden Tigers controlled the major comparable metrics, outscoring Albany State in bench points (21-11), fast break points (7-6), points in the paint (44-24), point off turnovers (26-10), and second chance points (22-10).
