Men’s basketball set to travel to Atlanta for a pair of conference road games over the weekend

The Golden Tigers men's basketball team will travel for two Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) games that include Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta over the weekend.

Tuskegee (5-3, 0-2 SIAC) will take on the Maroon Tigers on Saturday afternoon, scheduled for 1 p.m., before taking on Clark Atlanta on Monday evening at 8 p.m.

Morehouse is coming into the game with a 3-3 record, with two losses in conference play against on the road against Miles (Nov. 28) and against Spring Hill (Dec. 1). Meanwhile, Clark Atlanta is currently 1-5 overall, with their lone win a 62-54 game against Johnson C. Smith.

GAME NOTES

  • Tuskegee is looking to end their three-game losing streak, following SIAC losses to Fort Valley State and Albany State. Prior to the losses, Tuskegee had won five straight games to open the season.
  • The Golden Tigers currently have three players averaging double figures with D'Anthony Pennington (Kansas City, Mo.) leading the way at 11.5 points per game, followed by Martez Jones (Tuskegee, Ala.) and Gregg Boyd (Seat Pleasant, Md.) at 10.6 and 10.4 points per contest respectively.
  • Meanwhile the trio of Steve Dulley (Kansas City, Mo.), Reco Hallmon (Atlanta, Ga.), and Deveraux Davis (Minneapolis, Minn.) all average over five points per game with Dulley at 8.6 points and 4.3 rebounds, Hallmon at 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds, and Davis at 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds.
