Golden Tigers add six during early signing period | Tuskegee University Athletic Department

 In the first signing class for head coach Aaron James, Tuskegee signed six new student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLIs) on during the early signing period, all with previous collegiate playing experience.
 
Justin Bryant, 6-3, 295, OL, Pearl, Miss. (Hinds CC / Pearl HS)
Played in 14 games over the last two seasons at Hinds, helping the Eagles in 2021 to a 9-3 record with offensive marks of 30.9 points and 361.6 total yards per game, along with scoring 51 total touchdowns and gaining 4,449 total yards on the year.
 
Xavier Evans, 5-10, 215, RB, Hoover, Miss. (Gulf Coast CC / HS)
Named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 5A All-State First Team as a senior and committed to Arkansas State before attending Gulf Coast Community College. Accounted for over 5,000 total yards of offense during his four-year high school career while splitting time at quarterback and running back.
 
Antonio Knight Jr., 6-0, 180, ATH, Madison, Miss. (Germantown HS / East Mississippi CC)
Totaled 16 tackles in just six games as a junior at defensive back at Germantown High School. Also played on the offensive side of the ball at receiver and was a member of the East Mississippi Community College MACCC championship team this past season.
 
Austin Mitchell, 6-2, 325, DL, Pearl, Miss. (Mississippi Delta CC / HS)
Mitchell appeared in 21 games for Mississippi Delta CC, recording 40 total tackles, good for over two per game for his career with the Trojans, along with a tackle for loss. The defensive lineman also blocked a kick this past season.

Christopher Roberson, 6-1, 175, QB, McComb, Miss. (SW Mississippi CC / McComb HS)
Threw for 2,115 yards passing and 16 touchdowns over his two years and 16 games at the helm for the Bears, taking over as a starter in week four of the 2021 season against East Central. The quarterback also led his team in rushing that season with 373 yards and three touchdowns on 76 attempts as a freshman.
 
Jaylin Simmons, 5-11, 185, DB, Jackson, Miss. (Coahoma CC / Lanier HS)
Simmons recorded 42 total tackles from his defensive back spot for Coahoma CC in 2022, along with 2.5 tackles for loss and an 85-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. He also accounted for four pass breakups and two interceptions, while also spending time as a kick returner.
