The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has selected Savannah, Georgia as the official site of the 2022-2023 SIAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament, presented by Cricket, that will feature 29 men's and women's teams.
"I am excited for Savannah State University to serve as the host for the 2022-2023 SIAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament, presented by Cricket," said SIAC Commissioner Anthony Holloman. "After exploring multiple options for this year's tournament, I believe that Savannah will provide the best combination of facilities and cultural engagement from a student-athlete perspective while being able to accommodate our fans, alumni, and staff." The tournament was held in Rock Hill, S.C. for the past three years. Other prior host cities for the tournament included Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA. "We are grateful to Savannah State University and the City of Savannah for hosting our 2022-23 Basketball Tournament," said SIAC Board Chair and Fort Valley State President Dr. Paul Jones. "The city of Savannah will provide our student-athletes and fans with a great tournament experience."." The 2022-2023 SIAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament is slated for Saturday, February 25 through Saturday, March 4 and will showcase 15 men's teams and 14 women's teams in a centralized location.
