How many businesses registered across cities in Chambers County in week ending Nov. 12, 2022?

There were three businesses that registered in cities within Chambers County in the week ending Nov. 12, 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 25 percent less than the week before, when four businesses were registered.

Cusseta registered the most businesses in Chambers County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
