Women outnumbered men in Lee County in 2021

Of the 172,223 people living in Lee County, Alabama in 2021, 50.6% (87,136) were women and 49.4% (85,087) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Auburn Times.

Data showed the average age for women in Lee County in 2021 was 34 years, lower than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 1,339. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 9,594 men and 11,538 women.
