WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03) has opened the doors for high school students in Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District to showcase their artistic talents in the annual Congressional Art Competition. The winning artwork from each Congressional District will be exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for a year, offering a platform for young artists to display their skills.

“This Spring, students from Alabama’s Third District will have the opportunity to compete in the annual Congressional Art Competition through my office,” said Rep. Rogers. “The winning piece will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year for visitors from around the world to see."

The theme for this year's competition is “Alabama the Beautiful,” aiming to celebrate the state's natural and cultural richness. Submissions for the artwork must be sent in by March 28th, with detailed guidelines available on Rep. Rogers' website.

"I am excited to see what our young artists create to showcase our state’s beauty, and I encourage all interested students to visit my website or call my Oxford office for more details," added Rep. Rogers.

This competition offers a significant platform for budding artists to gain recognition and appreciation for their work on a national level. High school students interested in participating are encouraged to seize this opportunity to display their creativity and talent.
