This is the ninth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Alabama post-secondary schools during 2022.

Russell County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $34,453 on average in Russell County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $20,821.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
