Auburn University announced on Mar. 29 that Anne Fernandez, Frances Brown, and Rachel Gourley will participate in the Georgia State Invitational at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. The tournament is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, with the first two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday.

The event gives these three Auburn athletes an opportunity to compete as individuals rather than as part of a team lineup. This format allows each player to focus on their personal performance against a field of other collegiate golfers.

Fernandez has played in seven events this season. She achieved her career-low score of 67 (3-under) during the second round of the Tar Heel Invitational last October. Fernandez also finished among the top five individually at both the Canadian Collegiate Invitational and the Tar Heel Invitational.

Brown, who is a freshman, will be participating in her third event this season and her second during the spring portion of play. Gourley will make her second appearance this season and has competed in 18 events over her college career.

The first round is set to begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Central Time. Live scoring for all rounds will be available online at scoreboard.clippd.com.
