Senior Caroline Buchanan, junior Avery Glynn, and sophomore Ariana Marnell were named Southeastern Conference Riders of the Month for March, according to a Mar. 24 announcement by the league.
The recognition highlights individual achievements in collegiate equestrian sports. Buchanan was honored in Reining, Glynn on the Flat, and Marnell in Fences. These awards underscore their performances during recent competitions.
Buchanan earned her first Rider of the Month honor this season and second overall after winning against Texas A&M on March 7 with a meet-best score of 70.5, surpassing her opponent’s 68.25. She was also named Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) in Reining for the third time this season.
Glynn secured her second Flat recognition this year after achieving her tenth victory of the season with an 86.5-77.5 win over her Aggie opponent—a meet-high score that earned her fifth MOP award in that event for the year.
Marnell contributed to a sweep in Fences at the same meet and received her second Fences MOP award following an 88-84 victory, bringing her record to eight wins and four losses for the season.
Auburn will serve as both host and top seed at the upcoming SEC Equestrian Championship scheduled for March 27-28 at Auburn University Equestrian Center. Admission to all tournament events will be free.
