The Tuskegee University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that the upcoming matchup against Central State scheduled for Saturday, October 15, will be moved to the Cramton Bowl. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

The matchup between the Golden Tigers and Marauders will be moved due to ongoing construction. Originally scheduled to be played inside Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium, the game will instead move to Montgomery.

For this weekend’s Open House participants, times have been modified for the day’s schedule to allow time to travel to Cramton Bowl in Montgomery for the game. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. Click here to view the updated Open House Schedule of Events.

Season ticket holders and fans who have already purchased tickets will be allowed the same entry into the Cramton Bowl, while game time will be moved to 5 p.m.

Though delays have affected construction so far, the project remains on track to date to be prepared for the Homecoming game to be inside of Abbott Memorial against Miles on November 5.

“Enthusiasm for Tuskegee football is extremely high right now, with us having the ability to fill our stadium for the first time since before the pandemic,” Athletics Director and head coach Reginald Ruffin stated. “With that and our program passing the 700 all-time win mark everyone is excited and ready to return our home venue, and these improvements will help the program continue a trajectory towards remaining a standard amongst HBCUs, while elevating the fan experience at the stadium.”

Earlier this year, the Tuskegee Athletic Department unveiled plans for upgrades to several athletic facilities on campus. The first round of upgrades includes the Pepsico Tennis Courts, which are complete, along with new turf and a new football facility.

The department has since determined the project will include a renovation of “The Shed” as part improvements to the drainage issues at Alumni Stadium, which are necessary to enhance fan experience and ensure Tuskegee football remains competitive with its conference and national peers.
