Tuskegee University announces football schedule for highly anticipated 2026 season

Tuskegee University has announced its 2026 football schedule, featuring a lineup that includes five Classic games, several Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) rivalries, the Light It Up 2.0 Game, Homecoming 102, and the Turkey Day Classic against Alabama State University.

Dr. Mark A. Brown, president and CEO of Tuskegee University, commented on the upcoming season: “In our Renaissance Era, the 2026 football schedule reflects Tuskegee’s bold vision to continue elevating our athletics program. We continue to invest in every aspect of our student-athlete experience so that the Golden Tigers can excel on the field and in the classroom.”

The university aims for this season to energize alumni, students, and fans while strengthening recruiting efforts and building on its championship tradition. Reginald Ruffin, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics & Athletic Director, said: “This schedule reflects the strength of our brand, the power of tradition and the championship standard we expect from our student-athletes. Tuskegee Football is not just competing, we are elevating experiences, expanding exposure and driving engagement nationally.”

The 2026 schedule begins with the Red Tails Classic against the University of West Alabama in Montgomery on August 30. Other notable matchups include the Port City Classic versus Fort Valley State in Mobile on September 5; W.C. Gorden Classic against Jackson State in Jackson, Mississippi on September 19; Light It Up 2.0 versus Benedict College at home on September 26; Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic in Montgomery on October 3; Homecoming 102 versus Miles College at home on November 7; and concludes with the Turkey Day Classic at Alabama State University in Montgomery on November 26.
