Tuskegee women’s basketball (14-3, 11-0 SIAC) will continue to defend home turf this weekend as they host Miles (11-4, 8-3) on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. tip-off inside the Daniel “Chappie” James Center, looking to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Golden Tigers come into the contest atop the SIAC standings so far, including not losing so far in 2023, and have won five straight against conference opponents. They are also looking to pick up their eighth win over the Golden Bears in their last 10 meetings.

The program has also continued to earn individual honors, as Nadia Thorman-Mckey (Evanston, Ill.) was named SIAC Newcomer of the Week for the second time, an honor that was given to junior Sumaiyah Abdur-Rahim (Grand Praire, Texas) for her performance the week prior.

Miles comes into the matchup currently second behind Tuskegee in the West Standings and have their own four-game win streak on the line. The Golden bears picked up a pair of home wins over Kentucky State (Jan. 16) and Central State (Jan. 18) prior to the contest.
