UPDATE, May 25: Due to weather conditions and concrete availability, lane closures are expected to continue on Miller Avenue next week, May 29-June 2. No full road closures are expected during work. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.

May 22: AUBURN, Ala.- Lane and road closures are expected on Miller Avenue near the intersection of South College Street this week, May 22-26. Work on the South College Street, Samford Avenue, South Gay Street improvements project is expected to continue from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures are expected on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Traffic control measures will be in place to keep traffic flowing in both directions. Miller will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, May 24. Signs will be posted to help motorists detour around the work. Local traffic will still have access via Gay Street during this time.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
