The City of Phenix issued the following announcement on March 29.

System Upgrade April 7 & 8, 2022

The Phenix City Utilities Department will have a system upgrade on April 7 & 8, 2022 which will cause delays in service, processing payments, et cetera, and we appreciate your patience during this upgrade. During this time, customers may use some of our other convenient payment options such as on-line bill pay, automated phone payment system, and the newly installed payment kiosk in front of the Municipal Building.

Customers will be able to use the new self-service payment kiosk to look up their account information and make full or partial payments with cash, check, or credit and debit cards. Customers will have the option to print their receipt, or have it sent via email or SMS text. The new payment kiosk may be used for accounts which do not have a past due balance. The kiosk does not give change, so the balance remaining after payments are made will be a credit on the account.

Preferred Payment Options:

  • Online: Bill Pay
  • By Phone: 334-448-2880, Option 1
  • In Person: Payment Kiosk

If you have questions, you may contact the Phenix City Utilities Department at 334-448-2880.
