TOWN OF NOTASULGA: Notasulga High School Named Historic Landmark

Town of Notasulga issued the following announcement on July 27.

Notasulga High School received recognition in February 2019 by the State of Alabama and the U.S. Department of Interior. A historical landmark project has been designed to recognize and honor the nation’s cultural and historical heritage. The memorial park will constructed on the front lawn of Notasulga High School. A circular design with a large natural stone in the middle, surrounded by paving bricks. Benches will be installed and handicap parking will also be accommodated. Once the memorial park is complete, it could be added to the Civil Right Trail routing tourism to Macon County and Notasulga.  

The Notasulga Landmark Project is doing a fundraiser for bronze plaques for the memorial park. Personalized paving bricks are for sale at $50.00 a brick. The bricks are limited and only 500 are available for the project.
