Tuskegee men's basketball ended their road trip on Saturday afternoon, taking three of four contests as they took down Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) member Spring Hill, 82-79, inside of the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

Greg Boyd (Seat Pleasant, Md.) led four double figure scorers for the Golden Tigers (18-7, 13-5 SIAC) in the win with 14 points, four rebounds and a pair of steals along with shooting 6-for-7 from the free throw line in his 29 minutes of play.

Fellow senior guard Devin Booker (Chicago, Ill.) started the game with five straight points to give Tuskegee an early lead that they held on to for the entire half. After Spring Hill got the game close with a response at 15-12 with just under 14 minutes in the half, the Golden Tigers started another run, gaining their first double figure lead at 23-12 with 12:07 to go.

After fighting off another Badger run that saw them pull within five, Tuskegee stretched their lead once more with a 13-4 run to take a 39-25 lead and led by as many as 18 at one point on their way to a 48-32 lead at the half.

Tuskegee remained in control after the break, going up 17 on a fast break dunk from Mason Green (Ellenwood, Ga.) with just over 18 minutes to go. Later in the game, Reco Hallmon (Atlanta, Ga.) hit a three to give the Golden Tigers their largest lead of the game at 67-47, however Spring Hill began to claw back not long after but could not complete the comeback, falling short 82-79 for the Tuskegee win.

Tuskegee ended the contest shooting 52.6 (30-for-57) percent from the field, 44.4 (8-for-18) percent from long range and 73.7 (14-for-19) percent from the free throw line. By comparison, Spring Hill shot 44.0 (22-for-50) percent from the floor, 41.4 (12-for-29) percent from three-point range, and 76.7 (23-for-30) percent from the free throw line.

Following Boyd on offense was Boyd with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Martez Jones (Tuskegee, Ala.) who finished with a near double-double at 11 points and nine boards. Steve Dulley (Kansas City, Mo.) was the last scorer in double figures at ten along with a pair of boards and a steal in the win.
